TrainwreckTheTrackstar in Abilene

Corky called from McMurry yesterday after he FINALLY got to get in his first triple jump of the season. He got 2nd with a 45' 3" jump -- that is a foot more than what he jumped at State & Texas Relays in high school! Here is a link to the HyTek results. He also finished 7th in the long jump.

Happy Birthday Jesse!

The boys were all here for Spring Break with their girlfriends. Corky and his girlfriend Marcy decided to wish Jesse a happy birthday by plastering signs all over the place!

Tarleton State University Invitational Track Meet

Photos of Corky at the 2007 Tarleton State University Invitational Track Meet - his first meet as a freshman at UTPB!

Here are a couple of pictures of him warming up with his teammates.

Here he is with Coach Gray (in the white shirt) stretching before the long jump. She said that he did pretty well for his first meet as a freshman.

He got 8th place - jumping about a 20' jump!

The last event for him was the 400 meters. He was second in his heat. He ran about a 50-something and still placed 8th overall.

Landon Science Fair Project

Landon hypothesized that only the potato would run the potato clock.
Well, he found out that all of his veggies and fruits would run the clock!

They lost to Lake Travis 4-1, but he did a great job at goalie!

For the varsity, it was senior night, and Shelli had to walk one of her "adopted" boys onto the field again this year.

The varsity tied 1-1 and when they went to the shoot-out there was some moments of excitement with the UIL rules -- Coach Nave walked the rulebook out to the field to clarify a call!
